ESSENTIAL SPRING/SUMMER SHOE STYLES

I am a firm believer that the shoes make an outfit, but as I enter into my — clears throat — mid thirties, I have a few requirements when it comes to footwear: comfort, versatility, style, and quality. Naked feet has been one of those brands that ticks all the boxes for me, so I was so stoked to give these two summer styles a spin. Fisherman sandals are one of my favorite trends of the moment, and these white platforms take the look for a sophisticated spin (plus there’s the added height bonus for shorties like myself). They’re a wear everywhere style, comfortable enough for everyday but dressy enough to pair with dresses and jumpsuits.

Secondly, a comfortable block-heel mule is an essential in my closet. The Coterie sandal’s buttery-soft leather feels luxurious, and the chain-link buckle details offers just enough ornamentation. I even wore them for a night of dancing at a wedding with no soreness. As a mom who needs to be comfortable out and about, a good shoe can make an everyday jeans-and-a-tee look that much more stylish, and take the occasional night out to the next level.
