WELCOMING MAY AND SANDAL SEASON

We’ve had a cold, dreary spring here in New England, but May has ushered in some warmer days, and I feel like I’m crawling out of my winter style rut. Goodbye sweaters and hello florals and one-of-a-kind pieces, like this tied ruffle tank (hand-sewn by my mom). I also rushed to the nail salon for a pedicure, because I couldn’t wait a minute longer to whip out these new sandals.

Naked Feet Shoes invited me to try out some of their spring favorites, including this classic greige Market Sandal. The name is perfect — aren’t they just begging to be paired with a canvas tote of farm-fresh goodies? I wore them for a lunch with some of my favorite blogger girlfriends at the always gorgeous (but especially gorgeous in the springtime) Terrain Cafe.

For a little bit more of a statement shoe, I love the ISO Sandal’s Y2K platform style. The metallic leather and lucite buckle detailing is chef’s kiss to up the ante on any outfit. They’re also shockingly lightweight and comfy, and I love them paired with track pants for a sporty-chic vibe, but I could honestly see them styled a million ways. What are you most looking forward to wearing now that warm weather is upon us?
